Studded along the Line of Control, the twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch are home to largest concentration of Gujjars and Pahari speaking people of Jammu and Kashmir. Interestingly, across the Line of Control these are the two communities which populate almost whole of Pakistan occupied Kashmir. For last couple of months, the two communities are at odds against each other. The Pahari speaking people are excited after the BJP hinted at their possible inclusion in the list of Scheduled Tribes, something vehemently opposed by the Gujjars.
